Non Electric Sewage Treatment Plant

Our non electric wastewater treatment plant effectively cleans sewage in three stages.

Step 1:
Raw sewage enters the primary chamber where sedimentation of the suspended solids occurs. Primary sludge sinks to the bottom where it decreases in
volume via anaerobic digestion. The remaining wastewater flows to the restriction outlet which leads to the bioreator for the second stage of treatment.

At the restriction outlet, buffering of the wastewater occurs. This ensures that an even flow of wastewater is forwarded to the bioreactor throughout the day, regardless of
any hydraulic peaks.

ClearFox® Nature

Wastewater treatment in the Non Electrical Bioreactor

The ClearFox Nature bioreactor is a system consisting of aeration elements and several sedentary media types stacked in order. There is a distribution device at the inlet to the bioreactor which consists of a compensator and perforated distribution boxes.

Step 2:
The restriction outlet from the primary chamber fills the compensator which then fills the distribution boxes in regular flushes. The wastewater drips through the holes at the bottom of the distribution boxes so that it will flow evenly through the sedentary media materials below.

Step 3:
With the introduction of air via natural ventilation, bacteria grow on the surface of the media to form a biofilm which cleans the wastewater by consuming the remaining
organic materials. We refer to this process as the cascaded plug flow, during which the water is entirely cleaned in only one go.

At the same time, the system will biodegrade and reduce any resulting secondary sludge. Residual volumes are extracted via the outlet. These, however, are far below legal provisions and are thus not considered problematic.

Unlike conventional biofilm plants, a secondary sedimentation tank is not required. This process technology is the first of its kind in a small sewage treatment plant.

Similarly, the system will not require replacement parts or material throughout its entire lifetime, if operated correctly. Consisting of fixed media and passive aeration units and balanced with a filling device responsible for catabolism, biomass distribution and flowrate – the materials of the system will always remain effective.

Ideal Treatment Plant for Remote Operation

As a result of the simple design and use of biofilm technology, this plant is ideal for decentralised or remote operation. One of the main advantages of the ClearFox® nature is extremely stable operation in underload as well as in overload conditions. Additionally,

Low maintenance – the plant does not contain any technical wear parts and will never require any replacement parts throughout its lifetime. Also, as a result of the reduction process the primary sludge needs less frequent disposal.

Quick start up – the plant reaches optimum cleaning performance within a very short time. You also have the option to enrich the support medium with enzymes in order to reduce this time even further.

Easy to install – if your site is not on an incline, we connect a pump shaft with pump downstream to lift the water to outlet height.
High quality effluent – a disinfection module can be installed downstream so that the clean effluent can be reused as raw water.
Low cost maintenance – by using filter bags in the primary chamber and composting the filter residue, conventional sludge disposal is not necessary.

ClearFox® nature – Small Non Electric Sewage Treatment Plant

The ClearFox® nature is a small sewage treatment plant that is fully factory assembled and tested to the European standards 12566-3 and 12566-6. The connection size ranges from 1 to 16 residents (PE). The plant can be delivered as a complete system with the primary chamber and bioreactor or can be retrofit to an existing system with the bioreactor installed after a septic tank.

The water from the outlet can seep away, be directed into an outlet channel or be used for raw water treatment. Where there is a sufficient incline onsite, the plant can operate solely by gravity, without electricity.
